Our course offering for IBM i5/OS include not only the basic Command Language programming but also include the use of error handling and command creation/modification. Topics covered in these courses are shown on the syllabi for the sections. Two iSeries 400's are available to students in both sections. One on campus and the other off-campus server
Online and In-Class Sections
All students will meet on the first day of class for an orientation. After that you will be expected to read the orientation materials on-line. The IP address for the host iSeries 400 (AS/400) for both sections is 126.96.36.199 and its name is i400Tech. Students will be provided with software to use for terminal emulation and iSeries Navigator to use on their computers. Instructions on the installation of this software is available in the orientation documents. This will provide easy access to the off-campus system. If you select iSeries access for Windows make sure you load the service pack for correct operations. Note: iSeries Access for Windows is required to access iSeries Navigator.
Printing on your local printer, when at home is only available through iSeries Navigator.
